Doctor Who Nails!

Hey!  I don't know about you guys, but I am a huge Doctor Who fan, so here were my nails for the Season 7 premiere!
So here are my nails for the event!  New wrist brace because I recently found out I have a ganglion cyst :/

Different angle because I always do my nails this way and don't think about how hard that will be to take a picture of.

My Dalek nail.  I think this ended up being my favorite nail!  It game out most like I wanted it to out of all of them.

The Fez and Bowtie nail.  Kind of got smudged with the top coat I was using.  Oh well.

Chipped galaxy nail.

Tardis nail.  My nail wasn't quite long enough to do this nail any service.

Galaxy nail again that actually turned out pretty well!

Longhorn Nails

Wow, it has been quite a while since I have posted something.  I have just been so amazingly busy with school, but now I have some time!

Now, from way back in August from the first week of school are my UT Lognhorns nails!

They're kind of crappy because I did them in the dark of my old apartment and I kept nicking them on various boxes that I was moving, but oh well.  I think they turned out kind of cute!  I honestly can't remember what colors I used here, so sorry, but if anyone desperately needs to know I can probably drag the orange up.  Thanks!

Shark Nails!

I am a huge fan of Shark Week on Discovery Channel, so I decided to paint one of my hands to look like a shark!  It was really fun and turned out pretty well!  Only a couple of hours until Shark Week starts!
I think these nails actually turned out pretty well.  I was originally just messing around and was going to take them off right after doing them, but I've kind of grown attached to my shark!  So he's going to stay as one of my hands for the time being.  As soon as I decide to do my other nail, I put up a picture of that one too!  Have a great day and a great Shark Week!

Matte and Acetone

So today I finally removed my world nails, and they stayed on amazingly!  Even with me flailing my hands around like I normally do and chipping my nails, the nail polish looked brand new even a week later!  So I have to stay, I am definitely very satisfied with my Matte Me Crazy polish.  And I decided today to buy some pure acetone to use as nail polish remover, and it works really great!  The only thing is it seems to smear the nail polish all over my hands!  Oh well, that's easy to clean up too.  Just a little bit strange looking! All in all, I'm very satisfied with both of the purchases and they will definitely make my life easier!  The goal for today is to browse around Reddit and see if Being Human is okay.  Apparently, it is recommended for people who like Doctor Who.  My issue is that there is a UK show and a US show, so I need to figure out which one I like better!  Goal for the day I guess?  I plan on painting my nails like Indeed since I'm about to start my last week at my internship there!  It's both sad and exciting.  Sad because I really liked working at Indeed and I'm going to miss all of the people that I've met there, but excited because I've finished my first internship (hopefully) successfully and the new school year is about to start and I get to see my boyfriend again!  It is definitely going to be a crazy week!

World Nails!

Here are my globe nails!  They're made with NetApp Blue from NetApp and High Line Green from NYC.  I covered them with Matte Me Crazy from NYC because I thought it gave them that nice "map" look :)  I hope you guys like them!

NYC Matte Me Crazy

Okay, I was heading to Wal Mart today to get some green nail polish for my globe nails (pictures to come later when I finally decide to clean them and find someone to photograph them) and I spotted this NYC Matte Me Crazy.  I have never seen this before, but at just under a dollar I couldn't see the harm.  Now I'm absolutely in love with this stuff!  I'm not sure how the wear is, but the look is amazing!  It is completely matte!  Plus, if you make a lot of mistakes, like me, or miss a spot, you can touch up specific spots without the strange mottled look.  It just blends right in, which is awesome since the polish is clear and starts out shiny, it is really easy to miss a spot.  I would definitely recommend this based on looks alone along the fact it was so cheap!  If you love the look of matte nails, but hate the price, I would definitely pick this up on your next wal mart trip!

Home Row Keyboard Nails

So, I'm currently a software engineer intern at Indeed.com, and one of my co-workers thought it would be cool if I did my nails like the home row keys!  So, here are my home row keyboard nails!

I used Yahoo! purple from Yahoo! and Mermaid's Tears from the Pirates of the Caribbean OPI line.

Portal Nails

Here are my Portal nails!  For any of you who have never played Portal, you definitely should.  It was a really awesome game, really frustrating and fun at the same time!  I have yet to play Portal 2, but my boyfriend gifted it to me on Steam, so I will soon!  I used Black Heart from Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, White On from Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear, Hot Tamale from Pure Ice, NetApp Blue from NetApp, Kiss Me Here from Pure Ice, and a pink from OPI that I don't have the name for, sorry!  I think they turned out fairly well and were my first experiment using fine nail brushes!  If you're interested in doing nail art, I would definitely buy a nail brush set from eBay.  They're only about $2 and are a great price for the product you get!

4th of July Marbled Nails

Here are my Fourth of July nails!  This was my first attempt at water marbling and I'm fairly satisfied with the results!  They're still rather messy, I didn't clean them up very well, but the patterns look pretty interesting!  I used Rock N Red from Petites, NetApp Blue from NetApp, and White On from Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear.

Green Holo Nails

Here's an interesting combination that ended up turning out really cool!  Please excuse the fact that it's chipping, these are already a couple of days old.  This is Daze by Petites over Rain Forest by Revlon Colorstay.  I really like the almost holographic effect that this got from the dark and light contrast.  Also, I'm quite fond of green nail polish :)

Partly Cloudy Nails

Here are my partyly-cloudy nails!  They were the first nail art that I did :)  I used White On and Mellow Yellow by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear and Coastal Surf by Revlon Colorstay.  I think they turned out quite well!

Hey!

Hey everyone!
My name is Leah and I have decided that I'm going to create a blog to share my nail art with those who are interested!  I kind of tried this with Tumblr, but I didn't really like it.  I don't know, nothing against Tumblr, but it wasn't accomplishing what I wanted.  I would love for people to read this blog or at least see the pictures and be inspired/entertained by them!  I will try to include the nail polishes used in each of the art.  Thanks and I hope there will eventually be viewers of this page!
